Nichols Welding started as a welding shop in 1961, which progressed into a custom-built trailer manufacturer.  In May of 1999, the small company was acquired by a larger firm with the hope of taking the trailers to greater heights.  That ended in October of 2000 when Nichols Custom Welding Inc. was formed and bought the company and returned it to its original location of Farmington, Maine.  At the time of purchase, Nichols had one part time employee and was working out of a 2 bay garage.  Currently Nichols employs 20 plus people and is located in the 300,000 sq ft, former GH Bass world headquarters, which is owned by its sister company, in Wilton, Maine.

Nichols Trailers have been associated with the sporting world for decades and collectively have over a century of experience in the ATV, farming, hunting, fishing and logging industries.  With these experiences and those of our customers we have designed and manufactured and exceptional line of on and off road tow behind products.
